Should I Add Pages To My Blog?

I'd like to expand  my blog to include pictures and posts about photography, gardening, vegan cooking and the environment. I need to do some more reading in TypePads' help section first since I'm still not sure how pages are any different than posts....maybe I should start a new blog instead of adding more pages. If anyone has done something similar I'd love to hear about it. In the meantime, I'll keep reading my favorite blogs to get some new ideas. Everyone is so creative and interesting, inspiration is always just a click awa

 A flock of green parrots kept swooping through the yard just out of Kya's reach this morning while she was trying to take a nap...I didn't have time to get a picture of the parrots...next time!

A year of fundraising went into getting the mobile spay/neuter clinic paid off                                                    and equipped for surgery, we were only a week away from going on the road.                                                  This unit was to be used to help animals in need  and offer low cost spay/neuter                                   services to the public. But Saturday night those plans came to a halt.                                                                The fire is still under investigation. After the news story, many people have                                                  come forward to help - please consider attending our fundraiser to help Animal Aid                                  acquire another mobile clinic.   Click on the picture to see the Channel 10 news story. Another way to help... Now through Feb 28; Paradise Pet is hosting an annual charity groom-a-thon.                                                                           We are  on Federal Hwy. Hurricane Katrina Documentary "MINE" About People, Their Pets & Rescuers

MINE is a documentary by filmmakers, Geralyn Pezanoski and Erin Essenmacher. It's about what happened to some of the people, animals and rescuers who were affected by Hurricane Katrina. MINE is being shown in some theaters and this week on Independent Lens/ PBS.  I'll post the names of the theaters where MINE is playing when I find out When/Where, etc.,in the meantime, here's a link to the story behind the making of MINE and a schedule of the  times it will be shown on PBS... http://www.pbs.org/independentlens/mine/.

Hands Across The Sands Activists Unite On Deerfield Beach "No Offshore Drilling"

On Saturday, February 13th, I went to the Hands Across The Sand protest at Deerfield Beach. The protesters gathered on the beach near the pier and at 1:30 p.m., they linked hands to form a line in the sand to raise awareness of the issues affecting Florida's coastline such as offshore drilling and gas exploration. About 70 people participated in the ten- minute event. Here's one of the pictures that I took and the rest of them are on Flickr. The idea behind Hands Across The Sand is to keep oil out of our waters and off of our beaches. Here's a list of the South Florida beaches where you can join hands,for ten minutes, today at 1:30 p.m. to protest offshore drilling. Either visit the Facebook pages devoted to todays event to get more informations and to see who else is going or visit the website,  Hands Across The Sand, where you will find the complete list of participating Florida beaches and links to the environmental groups that support protecting our coastline and waterways.
