Rosie Needs A Home, Beautiful Greyhound Mix

 

 

Adopt Me! Rosie is in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, waiting for you!  Life hasn’t exactly been all roses for Rosie. But the past is over, and this youngster’s future is looking bright!  A greyhound/whippet mix, Rosie has a slim build, and petite features. She really is a stunning girl. At less than two years-old, she has lots of energy to keep up with an active family, or one with some rough-and-tumble children (she can get pretty excited during playtime). She’s very friendly and playful, and enjoys a good romp in the yard. She’s pretty good with other dogs, as long as she’s properly introduced. But cats? Well, now, she’s very cat-friendly! Seriously, she’ll make feline friends even easier than dog friends!  But people are her companion of choice. There’s no contest there. She’s very person-oriented, eager to please, and easily trained. Kristi is Laci's sister and Roxi's daughter. They were all rescued at the same time and have been learning to be dogs again without the fear from neglect. Kristi is very social and loving also. She would like to find a home that she could share with her sibblings but if not it would be ok. She loves to play, run in the backyard and relax after a hard day of playing. She is very loving toward her sibblings as she is observed grooming her little sister Laci. SHe weights 6-7 lbs and is now ready to find her furever home.

My name is Charlie and I was recently rescued from a hoarding situation. My foster family is still getting to know me but so far so wonderful! I don't leave my foster moms side and just love to lay by her feet. I get along with all the cats and dogs in the house too. I am working on my potty training but I am learning fast! I have a little hair missing around my eyes but the vet determined it to be stress/flea related. The vet gave me the works and has cleared me for adoption. I am still a puppy at only 7 months of age and currently underweight at 10lbs. I am expected to be 15-17lbs when happy and fully grown. I sure cannot wait to have a family to call my very own.

McDonald’s Moving to End Gestation Crates

It’s the biggest and perhaps best-known restaurant chain in the world. And today, in a joint statement with The HSUS, it announced its intention to get out of the business of gestation crates for breeding sows in the United States. McDonald’s declared that it “wants to see the end of sow confinement in gestation stalls in our U.S. supply chain” and further notes that “there are alternatives that we think are better for the welfare of sows.”

Her guardian passed away and the children were sent to live w/their dad, who would not allow Snowball to live with them.  The kids called my co-worker crying, begging her to take Snowball because she was on her way to a shelter.  My co-worker, Anita, already has a dog who Snowball is getting along very well with.  And, she is willing to foster Snowball, but ultimately needs to find her a permanent home.

A nice gentleman in NOrth Miami saved this little girl running on the streets. Need immediate rescue for her. He can't keep bc his kids are allergic. Needs a place today. 
He says she is the size of an overgrown cat, maybe 12 lbs. very friendly.

Can Anyone In The South Florida Area Foster This Older Dalmation For 4-5 Weeks?

This request was made on December 28 but I'm just catching up on my emails and I think that the family is still looking for a foster home for their dog Daxy...the request is being made by someone who regularly rescues and tries to find homes for animals in need-a friend of her Mom's needs to find a good foster home for her dog, Daxy for 4-5 weeks...Here's her request;

.... "It's a bit of an unusual situation as she is doing this because she is moving from her house while having severe health issues at the same time.  She and I are aware that most foster homes are for homeless dogs only, and boarding facilities are not an option for her.  Is there anyone who would foster this dog for this period of time (with payment)?

The dog is Daxy, a dalmatian, around 9 yrs old, super friendly with other dogs, cats and people as well.  Not very energetic due to her age and weight.
